Volunteers will help move furniture into new apartments for individuals transitioning out of homelessness—an important and powerful milestone. This opportunity involves teamwork and some heavy lifting, but the impact goes far beyond the physical work. Your time and effort help transform an empty apartment into a safe, welcoming home, offering stability, dignity, and a fresh start at a pivotal moment in someone’s life.
Where:
Volunteers will meet the Churches United staff at Furniture Mission "2600 3rd Ave N, Fargo, ND 58102"
Additional Details:
- Apartment locations vary by date; the volunteer coordinator will confirm the location 48 hours in advance.
- All move-ins take place in the Fargo/Moorhead area.
- Volunteer should be comfortable lifting and navigating stairs as part of the move in process.
- This role requires the ability to lift moderately heavy items.
- Volunteers must be physically capable of carrying items up and down stairs if there is no elevator available.
