Join our mission to support a path toward healing for individuals experiencing homelessness by volunteering in our unique pop-up shop. Set up to look like a traditional retail store, this space allows our shelter guests and visiting community members the opportunity to shop for essential items—completely free of charge.
This is a meaningful opportunity for anyone who enjoys retail, hospitality, or just helping others feel seen, respected, and supported.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help to set up the shop by selecting items from donations storage and stocking this merchandise the shop before it opens
- Create a welcoming shopping environment for guests by greeting them warmly and helping them feel comfortable in the space.
- Assist shoppers in finding items.
- Answer questions about item availability, sizing, or how the shopping process works.
- Help keep the shop organized and inviting by re-folding and organizing items.
- Retrieve special request items from storage, if they are not available in the shop.
- Help pack up the shop and return remaining items to storage after it closes
- Work as part of a supportive team to ensure that each shopper has a dignified and positive experience.
